Keady resident in semi-finals of mentorship program

A Keady resident is a semi-finalist in the Cattlemen's Young Leaders Mentorship Program.

Grace Kuhl is among the 24 semi-finalists.

The CYL Program is a national youth initiative of the Canadian Cattlemen's Association, which annually pairs participants with a mentor in their specific area of interest in the beef industry and provides networking and travel opportunities tailored for personal and professional growth.

The 24 semi-finalists were selected by a panel of judges through written applications submitted from young people across Canada ages 18 to 35. The final round of competition will be held virtually August 10.

Kuhl is one of three semi-finalists from Ontario.

The rest are from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and PEI.

The field will be whittled down to 16 finalists after August 10 and they will be paired with a hand-picked industry leader for a nine-month mentorship in their specific area of interest.

In the past that's included sustainable grazing practices, nutrition, marketing, industry advocacy and more.
