Southwesterly winds gusting 70 to 90 km/h.

Overnight into Thursday morning.

Southwesterly winds gusting 70 to 90 km/h are expected to develop as a strong low pressure system tracks over southern Ontario.

Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. Some property damage is possible.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

This evening, possibly continuing after midnight. 

Additional information:
Showers are expected to intensify as a strong low pressure system approaches the area. Strong winds and heavy rain are possible with thunderstorms along with the risk of tornadoes.
