Two Impaired Driving Arrests

Chatham-Kent police made a pair of drunk driving arrests on Thursday.

At around 4pm, police say a rollover collision saw a pick-up truck end up in a field on McCreary Line. Police are estimating damages at $15,000. The 39-year-old driver was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries and later arrested. He faces charges for impaired driving and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood.

Later at around 11pm, police stopped another pick-up truck on King St in Chatham. The 36-year-old driver from Lighthouse Cove was arrested and charged for impaired driving as well.

In both cases, the drivers were released pending a future court date.
