An agriculture economics expert is encouraging farmers to pay attention to worldwide trends throughout 2015.
David Kohl is a professor at Virginia Tech, and says developing nations like Brazil are going to impact Canada's economy prices.
"Where they were growing at a 10% growth rate, it's slowing down into 4-6%. While North American economies are doing fairly well, these emerging nations such as Brazil, such as Europe, are in a slow down type of pattern."
Kohl was the keynote speaker at the Southwest Agricultural Conference in Ridgetown.
