Frigid temperatures will fall on Chatham-Kent, just behind Sunday's winter storm.
The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit is issuing a cold weather alert for both Tuesday night and Wednesday night.
Temperatures are expected to fall to -18 C (0 F) in the next two nights. With the windchill factored in, it will feel more like -27 C (-17 F).
The health unit is reminding residents that overexposure to the cold may result in hypothermia or frostbite. They also remind residents not to leave their pets outside overnight.
