The Canadian jobs figures for last month are out this morning and both big cities in the region saw improvements.
In Windsor, the jobless rate dropped from 9.7% to 9.4%. Despite the improvement, the Rose City had the most jobseekers in the country, surpassing Saguenay, Quebec, which improved from 9.8% in December to 8.9% in January.
London's unemployment rate also improved slightly from 7.3% to 7.2%.
Provincially, Ontario saw a slight dip from 7% to 6.9%. And on a national level, Statistics Canada says part-time work helped the country add 35,400 net jobs, reducing the jobless rate from 6.7% to 6.6%.
