Crew Leading New Police Project

A new pilot project from the Chatham-Kent Police Service is looking to build on the Community Mobilization Strategy completed last year.

Former councillor and mayoral candidate Marjorie Crew is taking over as coordinator for the new Chatham-Kent Community Safety Plan project.

"My mind has just been going all over the place trying to think about how we're going to do this, what we need to do, make sure we have the boots on the ground, make sure we have all the data and evidence to support what we're doing," says Crew.

Crew is being hired on a part-time basis with money coming from a provincial grant.
