No News On Empty Stores

With Target and Staples out of the Thames Lea Plaza, the strip mall's landlord isn't sure about a replacement.

Brad-lea Meadows President Dean Bradley says they're waiting until Target's lease is up next month to make any plans.

Bradley adds Target's initial 10-year lease is immaterial because the company declared bankruptcy. "I would describe it as a challange to, in fairly short notice and short order, try and find a replacement. All that is up in the air until the bankruptcy process is a little farther along."

Bradley says he has no plans on selling the Thames Lea Plaza. The Chatham Target location on Grand Ave. W closed Sunday.
