Local Hockey Players Drafted Into OHL

Two Chatham-Kent natives have been drafted during the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.

The Hamilton Bulldogs selected forward Lucas Vanroboys in the 14th round of the draft. Vanroboys, a Thamesville native, was selected 268th overall.

Vanroboys played for the Selects Academy U-16 American team in Connecticut for the 2014/15 season.

Chatham native and left winger Kier Cumming was selected 282nd overall by the Sudbury Wolves in the 15th round of the draft.

Cumming played for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones Minor Midget team during the 2014/15 season, scoring four goals and getting seven assists in 22 regular season games.
