Early child care workers in the area will benefit from funding courtesy of the Ministry of Education.
Chatham-Kent is receiving $55,617 to put towards wage increases for child care workers.
Child care workers could see benefits increase by up to 17.5%. Licensed home child care providers could also see a daily increase of up to $10.
It's part of the Home Child Care Enhancement Grant Funding put forth by the ministry. Chatham-Kent Council will hear more about the one-time funding tonight.
