The City of Windsor says more information is needed from the Ambassador Bridge about its proposed expansion.
In a letter to the Ministry of Transportation, lawyers representing the city say the application is premature and incomplete, citing not enough structural and impact information to work with.
Mayor Drew Dilkens says the lack of information makes it hard for the city to analyze the bridge's potential effect on the community. "We don't have detailed information on what this bridge would look like, where the platforms would fall down in the City of Windsor, and how it would impact the houses that currently exist."
Last year, the Canadian Transport Company submitted an application for the new six-lane highway next to the Ambassador Bridge. Dilkens says it's now in the ministry's hands to decide if there's enough information or not.
