Honouring Chief Tecumseh

The final pieces of a monument honouring Chief Tecumseh will be unveiled today near Thamesville.

Ten stainless steel benches inscribed with statements about Tecumseh will be revealed at A Place of Many Grasses on Longwoods Rd.

"Each of the ten people who have done writing are from a different (First) Nation," says Organizer Marlee Robinson. "There's real cross-section, and it goes from really well known political people to an 11-year-old girl."

Today's event gets underway at 5pm and includes a free concert by renowned First Nations flautist R. Carlos Nakai. For more details, click here.
