The woman behind Blenheim's Bereavement Support Program is Ontario's 2015 Senior of the Year.
Morpeth's Dixie Peters says she found out about the award the night before she received it. "It's very humbling, but it's also such a privelege to work with these people, and see them heal and grow."
Peters' "A Time to Mourn," supports those who have recently lost a loved one through their grieving period.
She was inspired to continue the program after using its services when her husband died 22 years ago.
