Good weather a great attendance highlighted this year's Blenheim Cherry Fest.
The annual cherry festival brought local families to downtown Blenheim for Cherry Central, a Carter Shows midway, and the famous pit spitting contest.
Festival chair JP Huggins says the best part of the festival is seeing all of the local families making it out to a community event.
"People just seem to be loving it," he says. "Cater Shows did a great job with the ride placement this year. We've got stores with stuff out... The feedback has all been posstive this year, it's been fantastic."
Huggins says festival attendence was at its highest.
"I don't know the exact numbers but it's huge this year," he says. "(It's) probably one of the biggest years number-wise that I've seen in a long time."
The event ran from Thursday until Saturday evening.
