A man and woman from Lakeshore and two Mississauga men face a number of drug and gun charges after a police investigation in Chatham-Kent.
Constable Janine Belanger says an OPP officer stopped a vehicle with four people inside just before midnight July 20 in the westbound lanes of Hwy. 401 near Charing Cross Rd.
"Investigation at the road-side lead to a seizure of significant amount of fentanyl patches with an estimated value of $15,750," she says. "There were small amounts of suspected methamphetamine and oxycodone, as well further investigation uncovered a hand gun, a BB gun ammunition, a knife and an undisclosed amount of cash."
Police laid more than 20 charges in relation to the incident and all four face a court appearance in Chatham.
