Making Physical Activity Fun (Gallery)

Chatham-Kent is embarking on a three-year initiative to protect the future health of the community.

Super Kids CK will consist of a number of events throughout the year giving children the opportunity to get active and learn about healthy lifestyles.

General Manager of Health and Family Services Dr. April Rietdyk says it's about making health and activity fun.

Rietdyk adds this could be the first generation ever, whose parents have a better chance of outliving their children.

CK launched the project with a play day held at Kingston Park Tuesday. The municipality is receiving $825,000 from the province to put towards the initiative.
