With most students registered and classes underway the director at the Ridgetown Campus of the University of Guelph says it is clear people are getting the message that there are good jobs in agriculture.
Ken McEwan says total enrollment is almost 650 students and enrollment in agricultural programs is up 10 %
"Enrollment is very strong and we are delighted particularly in our agricultural numbers, we have students from across the province," he says. "It's consistent with other agricultural programs across North America and we are delighted because it is our seventh consecutive year of strong agricultural numbers." McEwan says the students come from almost every area of the province and that mix is a real learning experience for them.
