FireFest Deemed Success

With over 60 vehicles taking part Chatham-Kent FireFest remains the biggest event of its kind in the country and will be back next year.

Co-Chair Brent Denure says the only hitch was a period of rain on Saturday.

"Everything we could control went of without a hitch, it was a little soggy for an hour, hour and a half, but to draw the vehicles we did under the circumstances it couldn't have gone any better," he says. "The feedback we received from owners and participants and the general public and special guests was nothing but supportive."

Denure says the organization has already selected Sept. 17 as the date for the event next year.
