The Wallaceburg Kinsmen have moved from ribfest to Pumpkinfest with the new event running Saturday.
Club President Eric Hancock says it starts at 9am with a pancake breakfast, food vendors, and there will be activities for children all day along with a giant vegetable competition.
"We've committed this Pumpkinfest is not going to be a one time event, we are hoping this will become a great fall event for Kent County and Wallaceburg," he says. "It really is an attempt to create a family fun event where the community as a whole and a number of organizations are directly going to be benefiting financially."
Hancock says although the club has replaced ribfest it will be holding a chicken and rib dinner, and then ending the event with a dance.
While the club will be accepting donations the only cost is for food.
