Expect to see a heavier than usual police presence on roadways across the country this long weekend.
Services are taking part in Operation Impact, stressing safety with the expected increase in traffic.
"Buckle your seatbelts and ensure kids are properly restrained in vehicles according to their age and size," says Chatham-Kent Police Constable Renee Cowell. "Pay attention to the road at all times, refrain from aggressive driving, distracted driving, and please don't drink and drive."
The OPP says they're investigating 227 road deaths so far this year.
