Chatham-Kent residents who want to help out international visitors have the opportunity to find out more later this month.
Local Immigration Partnership Project Co-ordinator Victoria Bodnar says potential refugee sponsors can attend an info session on October 21.
"It's to build social networks for people who have been through the process before and can lend some suggestions. It's also for people who are hoping to get into it."
Bodnar says Adult, Language and Learning is a big player in assimilating immigrants, through settlement supports and language classes. The session will take place at the United Way Centre for Community Innovation from 1-3pm.
