Ambassador Bridge officials say the city is taunting them by criticizing the age of their bridge in the wake of new road closures.
A statement released this morning by the bridge calls criticisms of the age of the bridge taunting from the city, who they say objects to any major replacement or repairs.
According to the emailed statement, the city has delayed work that was planned to have been performed this past summer on a stretch of road where concrete has fallen onto the roadway.
Three roads are currently closed for safety reasons.
Vice chairmen of the company that owns the bridge, Matt Maroun, will meet with reporters on the Canadian side of the border at 2pm this afternoon to discuss the closures.
