A member of the Windsor Spitfires coaching staff has been added to the Canadian National Junior Team.
Associate coach Trevor Letowski joins the coaching staff as the team makes its final push towards Finland.
"I've had the opportunity to represent Canada a few times, twice as a player," says Letowski. "Once at the World Junior tournament and once in the World Championship, and this will be my second time as a coach. I had the opportunity to work with them at the Under 18 two springs ago, and so to get the call here is such an exciting time."
Letowski won gold as a player during the 1997 World Junior Championship.
The position opened up after Martin Raymond decided he wanted to focus on his head coaching duties with the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL.
The 2016 tournament is scheduled for December 26 to January 5 in Helsinki, Finland.
