Fire crews respond to a suspicious package at CK Police headquarters Oct. 27, 2015. (Photo by Simon Crouch)A package taken to the Chatham-Kent police headquarters yesterday turned out to be a gag gift and not a danger but it resulted in some safety precautions while it was investigated.
A resident brought the package to police yesterday afternoon around 2:30pm, and while the building was not evacuated, the front lobby was placed under quarantine.
A Hazmat team was consulted.
Police say if you do get a suspicious package don't move it, you are better off to call them.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
