A 17-year-old male is in custody after an armed robbery at a Subway Restaurant in Chatham.
Police say a youth with his face covered entered the store at 75 Keil Dr. S brandishing a knife around 8:20pm yesterday. He demanded cash, was given a small undisclosed amount of money, jumped into a vehicle and drove away.
An observant citizen was able to get a licence plate number and vehicle description, and police later identified a suspect and made an arrest around 1am.
The Chatham youth is charged with robbery and possession of a weapon and will make a court appearance this morning.
