A man is facing charges after allegedly trying to escape police custody at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
The man was initially taken from the Chatham-Kent Courthouse to hospital after appearing to be in medical distress around 2:30pm.
After being brought to the CKHA in handcuffs, the suspect allegedly managed to slip out of the cuffs a couple hours later, and took off.
Police caught up to the man later and brought him back to his hospital bed.
Later that night, around 7:30pm, the 19-year-old Raleigh Township man was taken to police headquarters and charged with attempting to escape lawful custody.
