High winds are expected all day Thursday that may prompt a warning.
Environment Canada predicts southwest winds of between 40 km/h to 70 km/h. They've also issued a special weather statement for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
Severe weather meteorologist Rob Kuhn says they could gust up to 90 km/h, especially near Lake Erie.
"It could cause minor damage to trees. If there's any that are still in partial leaf or that are on wet soil, the tree limbs may get brought down," Kuhn says. "There's a possibility there may be a few hydro outages."
Drivers are warned to be extra cautious during the morning commute.
"Driving could be rendered a bit difficult, especially in areas where you're getting strong and gusty crosswinds across a highway," Kuhn says.
The Pelee Island Ferry has cancelled Thursday morning's trip due to high winds.
Some rain is also expected and these strong winds will drop off Friday night.
