Public meetings have wrapped up but consultation is still taking place as the Chatham-Kent library staff develop a new strategic plan.
Chief Librarian Tanya Sharpe says six days so far members of the public have raised a number of issues.
"Faster internet access, more comfortable seating, quiet study areas those are some of the ones we have been receiving," she says. "I want to get out to the high schools and talk to some of the students [to find out] what are they looking for in the library, I also want to get to the non-users."
She says the need for quiet areas is especially noted in smaller branches.
