Family Given 'Gift Of Security' After Break-Ins

A Leamington area family who experienced their fourth break-in this year, is sleeping a little more soundly thanks to a local security company.

Homeowner Lisa Wall, her husband and two sons have received a free Smart Home Security System from Security ONE after the company invited the general public to nominate deserving families.

Wall runs a daycare business out of her home and says it's a great feeling to now have the added security after experiencing so many break-ins.

"Being broken into is a real violation of our piece of mind, and also of our security," she says. "That somebody is willing to come into our home, into our private living space... that's very uncomfortable."

Wall adds living in the country without many neighbours doesn't provide much security. However, she never expected her home would be broken into while living in the Leamington area.

"It's much harder to go to sleep at first, because you never know when it's going to happen again," she says. "It feels scary to say the least."

Wall says her family hadn't expected to be nominated for the security system. But after hundreds of votes were submitted by the community, they were chosen as the recipients.

"It was a very exciting feeling to know that we had been chosen to receive this gift of security," she says.
