Chatham-Kent residents will get their first opportunity to have a closer look at the 2016 budget in Wallaceburg tonight.
Tonight's open house is taking place from 4:30pm to 6pm at the Wallaceburg Municipal Office on Dufferin Ave.
There will be a brief presentation at 5pm, after which, residents will be able to ask municipal staff and area councillors about the budget.
At this point, administration is recommending a 3.29% tax increase.
There are two more budget open houses scheduled for this week -- one on Wednesday in Tilbury and one on Thursday in Chatham.
