Noelle's Gift Keeps Giving

Another donation to school nutrition programs in memory of Noelle Paquette.

Noelle's Gift Foundation is giving $10,660 to ensure Chatham-Kent Student Nutrition Program can continue to provide good nutrition to students who need it.

The foundation's Jackie Major-Daamen says Noelle's Gift is very appreciative of the nutrition program.

"So long as Noelle's Gift is alive and breathing, all school boards and both student nutrition programs will be topped up twice a year as best as we can," she says adding funds can be used for a variety of items. "They look at the needs of the children, children who needed new coats, new running shoes or perhaps they needed some food, they were hungry."

The donation follows one in earlier in the week that saw $13,418 donated for school nutrition programs in Sarnia-Lambton.

There are 6,500 students in Chatham-Kent who use the program.

The foundation honours Noelle Paquette a former kindergarten teacher who was abducted and killed in 2013.
