Commercial Fishing Fine

A Wheatley fishing company has been fined a total of $20,000 after being convicted of four counts of filing false information.

The Ministry of Natural Resources claims false reports were filed in relation to the location of fishing activity, the length of time nets were left in the water and the length of the nets.

There was also a logbook violation.

The violations were between May and July of 2013.

Pisces Fishery was sentenced earlier this month.
