Pop Culture Show To Bring Big Names To CK

There are some big names expected at this year's Chatham-Kent Expo.

Co-founder of the pop culture show Robert Bellamy says among the guests expected is Richard Comely, the creator of Canada's super hero - Captain Canuck.

Bellamy says having Comely as a guest happened by chance.

"One of the people working on it [the expo] with us, asked if he would come out and he was all for coming out because he had just done something with Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers as well," says Bellamy

Also planning on attending the expo are Richard Hatch and Jack Satuffer from Battlestar Gallactica.

"I met Richard Hatch last year at another convention and got talking to him about what we did and he was very interested in helping because it's a charity fun," says Bellamy. "Once I got him involved one of the other people he worked with from Battlestar Gallactica, Jack Satuffer got a hold of us and wanted to come out as well."

There's also one more special addition to the expo that has not been officially announced.

"One of the most popular shows on TV that I know of right now is Supernatural," says Bellamy. "We actually got a hold of their Impala, the vehicle Sam and Dean drive."

The expo is relatively new to Chatham-Kent, having only started in 2014 but Bellamy says it has been growing and is very successful.

This year's expo will be on October 8, 2016 at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre. Tickets are $10 but children 9 and under get in for free.

Bellamy says more details on the expo will be released next month. You can find their website here.
