UPDATE: Police ID Driver In Fatal Dawn-Euphemia Crash

Lambton OPP  have identified the victim of fatal single-vehicle collision in Dawn-Euphemia Township.

Police, EMS and Dawn-Euphemia volunteer firefighters responded to Lambton Line between Annett Rd. and Downie Rd. just after 6am Saturday. Upon arrival, first responders found a Ford Mustang in the north ditch, which had sustained significant damage.

The lone male occupant, 47-year-old Michael Edward Hobbs of Dawn-Euphemia, was found inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The OPP say their investigation has revealed that the Mustang was traveling west on Lambton Line when the vehicle veered off the roadway and entered into a deep ravine.

Police say no charges will be laid in connection with the crash.

Lambton Line was closed between Annett Rd and Downie Rd. until around 1pm.
