Wheatley Drug Bust Turns Up Cocaine, Meth, LSD

Chatham-Kent police say they busted a suspected drug dealer in Wheatley.

Officers also seized an estimated $103,000 worth of drugs while they were arresting him.

Investigators say members of the Provincial Joint Forces Repeat Offender and Parole Enforcement (ROPE) team showed up at the address Wednesday afternoon to arrest a man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

While they were there, officers found undisclosed amounts of cocaine, hydromorphone, fentanyl, LSD, marijuana, and a large amount of cash in a shed on the property.

A 31-year-old Essex man is now charged with four counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. He's also charged with two counts of failing to comply.
