Entrepreneurs in Chatham-Kent will face off later this month for a chance to win up to $5,000 for their business.
The Chatham-Kent Workforce Planning Board (CKWPB) is planning a Dragon's Den style business lunch.
"They'll each have four minutes to pitch their business idea to our panel of five judges," says Project Manager Kristy Jacobs. "At the end of each pitch the judges will have an opportunity to ask a couple of clarifying questions, just to kinda make sure they understand what's going on with the business plan and get all the details they need."
Jacobs says they have six spots available for the "Dining In The Den" event.
"Anybody who is a local entrepreneur -- so the business has to be operating in Chatham-Kent or planning to operate in Chatham-Kent," she says. "Anyone who just needs a little bit of a cash infusion to get started, we're happy to talk to them about it and see where we can go with it."
Everyone who buys a ticket for the lunch at Retro Suites on October 26, will get to vote for who should win the top prize of $5,000.
The deadline to apply is Friday, October 7, 2016 at 4:30pm. Application forms can be found by clicking here.
