Smile Cookies Fundraiser Totals

Over $16,000 was raised for the Children's Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent thanks to some smiling cookies.

Tim Horton's locations in Chatham, Dresden, and Wallaceburg sold the smile cookies from $1 from September 12-18, raising $16,220.

The money raised will go to support the services at the centre that are not fully covered by government funding, like social work, music therapy, and adapted recreation.

The Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign began in 1996, and has grown to become a major fundraising event. Last year the campaign raised over $11,000 in Chatham-Kent.
