Chatham-Kent police have made two arrests in connection with a robbery at a local motel.
Police say a 19-year-old man was assaulted by two other men with a baseball bat on October 3 while he was waiting in a motel room to meet someone he had contacted via the internet.
Officers say the two men forced the victim to turn over his credit card and PIN number while one of the men left to withdraw some money from an ATM and make a purchase at a local convenience store.
Police say the victim's credit card was returned shortly after that and he was allowed to leave.
Through their investigation, officers were able to identify two suspects and arrested them yesterday in connection with the case.
A 26-year-old Chatham man and a 28-year-old Chatham man are both charged with robbery, forcible confinement, and uttering threats.
