Police ID Fatal Crash Victim

Chatham-Kent OPP have released the identities of three pedestrians who were hit by a vehicle on Moraviantown First Nation over the weekend.

Police say 16-year-old Bailey Jacobs died after she was hit by a black Chrysler 300 while she was walking on the road.

Two other people were also hit by the car.

One of them was 24-year-old Tanner Whiteye who has been transferred to a London hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

The third victim, 17-year-old Jordi Whiteye, was treated for minor injuries and has been released from the hospital.

All of the victims are Moraviantown First Nation residents.

Police have not released the identity of the 21-year-old Moraviantown man who was driving the car at the time. He didn't suffer any injuries as a result of the crash.

Officers say they are still investigating and at this point, have not indicated whether anyone will be charged in connection with the crash.

Police are still looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the collision or was in the area at the time of the crash.
