UPDATE: Kormendy Guilty Of Attempted Murder

A 43-year-old Windsor man has been found guilty of three counts of attempted murder and one count of arson after setting fire to a home in Windsor, just over a year ago.

On October 24, 2015, Kenneth Kormendy set fire to a house located at 1680 Balfour Blvd., while a mother and two children were inside. He was arrested at the scene of the blaze.

The mother suffered serious burns to one of her hands, while a 7-year-old girl suffered serious burns to her face, torso, hands and feet, that sent her to hospital in critical condition.

An 11-month-old girl, who was also in the home, was not hurt in the fire.

Kormendy will be sentenced on March 16, 2017 in Windsor's Superior Court.
