Co-chairs of the 2018 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo, Leon Leclair and Darrin Canniff spoke at the official book launch Wednesday night.

Ahead of the Rural Urban Awards Dinner at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre, people paid in cash to get their hands on the cookbooks.

"The influx of the number of recipes that came in is a testament to how many people want to be involved in this match," says Leclair.

As stated in a media release, the books will be priced at $15 each. Proceeds from book sales will go towards funding the International Plowing Match, as well as local charities.

"We're expecting to do 10,000 to 15,000 of these books," says Canniff. "It's a hot commodity."

The books are currently available at Dresden's North Kent Mutual Insurance location. The books are expected to be sold at several other locations in the new year.
