Leamington OPP Station.(BlackburnNews.com file photo)Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle near Point Pelee National Park in Leamington.
The OPP says the driver was on the north side of Mersea Rd. D near Point Pelee Dr. and was trying to cross a dike. He was thrown from the vehicle while the ATV landed in the water.
The man was transported to Windsor Regional Hospital with life-threatening injuries and the investigation is ongoing.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
