The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority is hoping local residents are in a generous mood this Giving Tuesday.
They're pledging to match all of the donations that come in to the LTVCA on Tuesday.
Conservation Manager Randall Van Wagner says the money will be spent on new habitat projects, and no amount is too small.
"If it's under a hundred dollars, we'd buy trees with it and we'd plant them in a visible area like a park where people can see where their money is going," says Van Wagner.
The LTVCA has also received much larger donations recently, though.
"Last year we had two properties that people willed to us in their estates," says Van Wagner. "That was obviously pretty huge for us."
Van Wagner says while they do apply for a lot of grants, the money they get from successful applications doesn't always cover the cost of the projects they take on.
One of the larger projects the LTVCA is working to finish up is the Clear Creek Forest near Duart Line where officials are restoring 140 acres of former farmland.
