Temperature records continue to fall in Chatham-Kent and across Southwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada confirms the temperature hit 16.8 C (62.2 F) on Wednesday.
Climatologist David Phillips says that broke the old record of 12.4 C (54.3 F) for February 22, which was set back in 1984.
He also says we will easily smash February 23's record high of 15.4 C (59.7 F).
