CK Shot Clinics To Avoid School Suspensions Begin Thursday

Clinics for Chatham-Kent students with incomplete immunization records start on Thursday.

School suspensions begin April 4, 2017 for those without proper shots.

The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit is asking parents to "check their children’s immunization records to see if they have had the required shots" before booking any appointments.

It's also encouraging those with a doctor to book an appointment if there is no record of the shot.

Clinics for students without doctors will be held by appointment only March 16 in Ridgetown, March 21 in Tilbury, March 23 in Wallaceburg and March 27 in Chatham.

To report shots, book an appointment or for more information, call 519-355-1071 ext. 5900. Shots can also be reported online at chatham-kent.ca/vaccinations or faxed to 519-355-0848.

Exemptions are also available upon request.
