There seems to be some controversy surrounding this year's Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
Dutch Market was selected Business of the Year but has declined the award.
Dutch Market President Charles Huls says he "truly appreciates the honour of being selected by the chamber" but "in reflection, respectfully has chosen to decline the award".
It's unclear why Dutch Market declined the award but Chamber Chair Christopher June says "it's not uncommon".
Other awards being handed out March 30th are Carolyn Powers for Citizen of the Year, Tricia Xavier for Professional of the Year, Fred Naclerio for Entrepreneur of the Year, Natalie Devolder for Youth Entrepreneur of the Year and Enviroshake for Industry of the Year.
