UPDATE: Serious Crash In Chatham Claims Life Of Motorcyclist

A Chatham man has died after his motorcycle collided with a car at the McNaughton Ave. and Sandys St. intersection in Chatham.

Police say the crash took place at around 5:30am Friday, and that the 43-year-old motorcyclist suffered critical injuries as a result.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital in Chatham for treatment, but was later airlifted to a hospital in London where he succumbed to his injuries.

The 45-year-old Wallaceburg woman who was driving the other vehicle involved in the crash, wasn't hurt.

The investigation is ongoing and at this point it's not clear whether any charges will be laid.
