Appreciating Doctors Across Ontario

Doctors across the province are being recognized for their work within the healthcare system.

May 1 marks Doctors' Day, an official day which was first recognized by the provincial government in 2011.

Between the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance's two campuses in Chatham and Wallaceburg, there are about 185 physicians.

"We are honoured to recognize our physicians today for their dedication to the profession and the strong leadership roles they play within our organization," says Lori Marshall, president and CEO of the CKHA. "They always strive to deliver safe, high quality care with compassion to our patients and their families."

Several individuals are joining health organizations in celebrating Doctors' Day by making it more prominent on social media, using the hashtag "#LoveMyMD".
