This year's Chatham-Kent Senior Of The Year has been announced.
JoAn Dale is the 2017 winner.
Dale volunteers at several organizations including president and past president of the Alzheimer Society and treasurer at the Zonta Club.
Dale says she's honoured to get the award.
"It's a total surprise and I'm really humbled when I listen to all of the other accomplishments that the other nominees have made," says Dale.

The 30th annual Chatham-Kent Seniors Expo and Achievement Awards were held Friday at the Blenheim Recreation Centre.
Forty-five people received achievement awards.
Dale says volunteering is very satisfying.
"Enjoy each day and take part in what you can. Be a support to your family and to the community and you'll get many rewards back from it," Dale says.
Dale thanks all of those who helped her along the way.
"You don't do anything alone and I have a wonderful family. I've had good roots and the volunteer work was established. My mother just passed away and she won this award a number of years ago as well," says Dale.
