Chatham-Kent will soon be getting two brand new restaurants.
On Monday, CK council approved a motion to build two new chain restaurants on St. Clair St. between Pioneer Line and Regency Dr. in the lot beside Galaxy Cinema.
A drive-through bank was originally going to built in the vacant area of the lot, but councilors decided restaurants would be more economically prosperous for Chatham.
The approved motion will make room for a fast food chain, as well as a sit-in restaurant.
It has not yet been announced what two franchises will be purchasing the building permits, however, there has been interest from several national chains.
